Zon Bass

Joe Zon wanted to make the perfect instrument. He spent many years repairing guitars and basses at a smaller repair shop in Buffalo, New York. From his experience repairing instruments, he quickly learned where most instruments were prone to have problems. For guitars and basses it was the neck.

Wooden necks can warp and twist, it is just natural for wood do this over time. Some woods used for building guitars and basses is allowed to sit and cure for five to ten years before it is even considered for use. This can help prevent any warping or twisting, but humidity and temperature changes can still cause these problems.

Joe knew that he would need to use a different material for the necks of his perfect instrument. He thought graphite would work well and his years of experience in repairs had taught him the best way to craft his masterpiece.
