Washburn Bass

Washburn has been making high quality musical instruments for over 120 years. There are not many other companies out there with that much experience. With roots planted firmly in Chicago, Washburn was there during the birth of one of music's biggest moments in history. The birth of the Blues, a style of music that would change everything in rock and roll history.

In it's earliest days Washburn's original factory was located just a few blocks from Maxwell street, a street that some say is the birth place of the blues. African Americans arrived here from the Mississippi Delta and they brought with them a style of music unlike any other. This area became a melting for all kinds of musicians and Washburn instruments was there for all of them as they jammed together and made history.

Today is no different. You will find the great sounds of a Washburn just about anywhere. Turn on the radio, TV or your favorite music player and chances are you will be listening to a Washburn bass or guitar. They are represented in just about every style of music imaginable.

What has gotten them so far? Could it be the attention to detail that is only found in a Washburn bass guitar or that thundering low that is carrying the whole band. Could it simply be that these bass guitars look so good that most people fall in love as soon as they see them? Throughout it's history Washburn has been known for extremely high quality, great sound, artistic design and affordable price.
