Lakland Bass

The history of Lakland basses is quite an interesting story. It started from one man's obsession with collecting bass guitars in the early 1990s. He would find one that he liked and buy it and then another would show up. Soon his private collection of bass guitars has outgrown his basement.

He started selling off some of his collection just so that he could get more and soon became known as an authority on used basses. People from all over the United States starting buying used bass guitars from him. If they were in need of repairs he consulted his favorite luthier and he would work his magic. When he was done the basses would always play much better.

They decided that it was time to take everything that they loved about their favorite bass guitars and put them into one bass. They were out to create the perfect instrument. Lakland, pronounced Lakeland was born.

Today artists from every genre and every corner of the world use Lakland bass guitars. They are well known for their awesome playability and tone.

There are over a 16 models available today all of which are works of art. They all feature reinforced head stocks and that have superior playability. There are three types of woods used for creating the fingerboards. There is Maple, rosewood and for the fretless models there is ebony.

Lakland basses are used by artists such as Joe Osborn, Juan Alderete, Nick Harmer, Dave Parsons and John Peirce just to name a few.
