Just because it has six strings
that does not mean it is a guitar. There are bass guitars
that have six strings as well. They are not as common as four
string or five string models but just about every major bass
manufacturer has a six string model.
If you are a bass player that is looking for something a
little different or perhaps you want to expand your bass playing
horizon, then you have to check out a six string bass. Once
you get one in your hands, you will soon see that there is
so much more to play and you might not go back to a four string.
Six string bass guitars are not for the beginner. If you
are just starting out, you should check out a four or even
a five string model. Those two extra strings make a world
of difference. The necks are much wider and they are constructed
a little differently. Having six strings can put more tension
on the neck so right from the drawing board, things are done
a little different. |
